During the course of treatment you will be given advice on how to improve your overall oral hygiene and will be supplied with interdental cleaning aids if necessary. The best results are usually seen when this intensive cleaning regime is coupled with antibiotic therapy.
If not allergic to the following you will be given amoxicillin and metronidazole which you should start taking the day before your appointment. Any patient with an allergy to penicillin should inform their dentist and alcohol
must be avoided during this 10 day period of antibiotic therapy. Your treatment will be provided by our Dental Therapist Shirley Smith. Shirley qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1988 and as a Dental Therapist in 2004.
Your treatment planning will be supervised by Nick Daily-Hunt BDS.
