Rob studied further at the Manchester Dental Hospital, and in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery unit at the Royal Preston Hospital. In 2004 Rob passed his MFDS membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is therefore highly experienced in oral surgery, implantology and Intravenous Sedation and holds an additional post graduate diploma and MSc in implant dentistry. He is a surgical and restorative mentor for Dentsply Implants with a particular interest in Astra-tech. He is also SAAD certified to provide sedation in general practice. Rob continues to gain experience and further training overseas, most recently in Finland, Sweden, the Seychelles and New York.
Oral surgery including the removal of difficult teeth, implant referrals and the treatment of nervous patients with intravenous sedation is available every working day at Albert Place Dental Referral Centre.
Rob is an active member of the Halle Choir and can often be heard performing on the radio and seen on TV. He is also a keen cyclist and can be regularly found in the country lanes of Cheshire and South Manchester. His most recent memorable ride was in support of Bridge 2 Aid (www.bridge2aid.org) a 250 miles ride in 24 hours from Manchester to London.
